- ERASING A MEMORY CHANNEL NOW WORKS CORRECTLY
Before: when you cleared a memory channel (set its frequency to 0 to erase it), the program sent a command that wiped out EVERY setting on that channel – mode, tuning step, noise blanker, preamp, attenuator, AGC, filter – even though you only wanted to clear the frequency.
Now: erasing a channel only clears its frequency. Every other setting on that channel (mode, step, filters, AGC) is left exactly as it was.
2. CW MEMORY “PLAY” BUTTON NOW CHECKS THE RADIO’S MODE FIRST
Before: pressing Play on a saved CW message sent it to the radio right away, even if the radio was not set to CW mode – so the message could end up keyed out over SSB or another mode by mistake.
Now: Before sending the message, the program first asks the radio what mode it’s currently in use (using the radio’s “MD;” mode-query command). If it is not in CW, you get a warning pop-up message instead, and nothing is sent.

4. BAND SETTINGS – SAFER WHEN THE RADIO DOESN’T RESPOND
Before: Reading the full set of band limits from the radio is related with enabling some extra service-level settings from the radio, which only answers if the radio’s additional service menus have been unlocked. If the radio failed to answer that part, the program wrongly treated every band as switched OFF and displayed that.
Now: if that read fails or times out, the program leaves your band table exactly as it was before you pressed Read, and shows a clear warning message explaining the read was failed – instead of silently showing (and risking you saving) incorrect “all bands off” information.
5. YOUR FILES AND DATA ARE SAFER
Disconnecting from a radio now fully clears the screen (settings, bands, memory channels) so leftover data from one radio can’t get mixed up with the next radio you connect – each radio’s session starts clean. Your file on disk only changes when you press Save or Save As, so nothing is written without you choosing it. The program guards against your settings getting mixed up between two different files or two different radios.
